A Bit About Me

I’m Ashley Ahlers, LPC, a licensed professional counselor with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate anxiety, OCD, depression, eating disorders, perfectionism, ARFID, and other related challenges. I draw from a diverse range of evidence-based approaches, including ERP, ACT, CBT, DBT, and SPACE protocols, tailoring each modality to meet the unique needs of my clients. Additionally, I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and attachment-focused perspective, examining how past experiences and relationships have shaped sense of self and emotional growth.

I prioritize cultivating a strong, collaborative counseling relationship, recognizing it as the cornerstone of meaningful, lasting growth and change. By fostering trust, safety, and mutual respect, I create a therapeutic space where clients feel supported in exploring challenges, building new skills, and moving toward their goals. I integrate mindfulness and embodied strategies into my work, believing that nurturing the mind-body connection is essential to overall well-being.

Beyond my direct clinical work, I actively collaborate with parents, schools, and other providers to enhance communication and foster supportive environments where individuals can flourish emotionally, socially, and academically.
