Daniel Turpin, Psy.D.

Daniel Turpin, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology. He provides neuropsychological assessment services for children and adolescents. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology from the University of Central Missouri. He earned his Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Neuropsychology at The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Turpin received his pre-doctoral internship training at the National Psychology Training Consortium in Springfield, Missouri where he conducted assessments and provided individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in an outpatient setting. Following his internship, Dr. Turpin moved to Orlando, Florida to complete a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at an independent practice affiliated with Florida Hospital. After post-doctoral training, Dr. Turpin accepted a position as Staff Neuropsychologist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida and was instrumental in starting the Pediatric Neuropsychology service line. Dr. Turpin worked at the hospital for three years before meeting his wife and moving to Maryland in the Summer of 2019.

Dr. Turpin strives to provide a comfortable testing environment for children and adolescents. He firmly believes that assessment should drive treatment. That is, evaluations should not only be diagnostic, but findings must shape interventions in a manner that allows children to function optimally across settings.
