Divergent D&D Summer Group

Join us for our 8-week tabletop role-playing game (TTRG) group!

Group members will create a character and then set out on an adventure with their adventuring party (fellow group members).

Brianna Kinsey, Psy.D. and Samara Shanker, M.A., M.S. will run the game, set up scenarios, and guide the group through the collaborative storytelling that is the core of D&D, all the while practicing executive functioning skills and fostering social connection.

Who: Rising 5th graders and up, with openings for 8 members. 

Where: Our Georgetown Office

When: Thursdays 1:00-2:30 PM *Starting June 19th*

Target key executive functioning skills like:

  • Cognitive flexibility

  • Differentiating neutral, positive, and negative cues

  • Managing impulsivity (turns-based, methodical play)

  • Sustained attention

  • Task-switching

  • Working collaboratively

  • Emotion regulation

  • Self-advocacy
