Antoine Trowers, LICSW
Antoine Trowers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington, DC and Maryland. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Antoine relocated to the Washington area in 2007. He earned his MSW in 2017 from Howard University and has gained extensive experience with children and parents while working within the District of Columbia Public School (DCPS) system for the past 10 years.
As a clinician to students, Antoine’s areas of focus are ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, depression, and trauma. He works with students individually and in group settings using a range of therapeutic approaches which include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, behavior therapy, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). In addition to his training and clinical practice, Antoine brings understanding about families and parenting from his own experience as a father.
In his work with adults, Antoine views therapy as a collaborative process that balances listening and insightful feedback to help clients make the changes they desire. His areas of focus are anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, codependency, grief and loss. Antoine utilizes CBT, solution-focused, person-centered and family systems approaches to help clients develop insight, create meaning in their lives, and find traction to achieve their relationship, career, health and wellness goals.
