A Bit About Me

Hello, I’m Dr. Camille Hawkins, and I use she/her pronouns. I am deeply committed to providing culturally humble psychotherapy for adolescents and adults. My therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in psychodynamic therapy, and I also integrate cognitive-behavioral techniques, trauma-informed practices, and mindfulness-based methods to best meet the needs of my clients.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is paramount, and I am dedicated to building and maintaining a strong, caring, and nonjudgmental connection with each client. In my view, healing occurs within an authentic and attuned therapeutic relationship. I am a particularly good fit for young adults and adults looking to explore and change maladaptive patterns, gain insight into their behaviors, and explore their relationships with others.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the chance to provide therapy and testing in a variety of settings, including forensic environments, high schools, college counseling centers, and community mental health clinics. My experience working with children and families as a case manager in the District of Columbia gave me invaluable insight into diverse backgrounds and experiences.
