A Bit About Me
I’m Molly Dana (She/Her/Hers), MSW, and Supervisee in Social Work. My passion for helping clients improve their mental and emotional health stems from a strong and diverse background working with children ages 2-18. I strive to build trusting relationships with my clients throughout treatment through strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches to facilitate growth, self-love, and confidence in a safe and welcoming space.
Before joining the team at Georgetown Psychology, I was a third grade teacher and worked in the non-profit sector, helping children impacted by incarceration. I also worked at a sibling-focused therapeutic foster care program, providing case management and individual and family therapy. More recently, I provided mental health support to children in an under-resourced school.
I provide trauma-informed and neurodivergent-affirming care using a mindfulness-based approach. My clinical modalities include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Child Centered Play Therapy. As a lifelong advocate for rescue dogs, I hope to expand my practice to include a therapy dog to assist clients in the future.
