Dorothy White, Ph.D.

Dr. Dorothy White (she/her) is a dedicated clinician conducting evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. White completed her practicum training in public, private, and charter school settings, outpatient and inpatient psychiatric treatment centers, and community-based clinics. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology, as well as her master’s degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, from the George Washington University. Dr. White completed her APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (JLG-RICA) in Rockville, MD. She is also a researcher whose work was most recently published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine (2024).
Dr. White specializes in identification and evaluation of learning and developmental differences in the context of socioemotional functioning. She believes in a comprehensive and integrative approach that is neurodivergent-affirming and rooted in evidence-based assessments and treatments. Collaboration with families and partnership with clients are essential to her practice, with the ultimate goal of providing tools and strategies to help clients navigate their worlds.
