Ashley Muskett, Ph.D.

Ashley Muskett, Ph.D. (she/her) is a licensed psychologist in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.  Dr. Muskett specializes in providing psychoeducational evaluations and autism identification assessments to children and adolescents utilizing a neurodivergent-affirming approach. Her areas of specialization include Autism, ADHD, mood, and anxiety disorders. Dr. Muskett is passionate about her work with Autistic children, teens, and their families. She has a particular interest in working with non- or partially-speaking Autistic youth, as well as the assessment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders in both speaking and non-speaking Autistic youth. She views Autism as an identity and disability within the social model of disability.
Dr. Muskett was born and raised in Springfield, VA. She attended Virginia Tech college where she studied Psychology, Medicine and Society. She graduated with her Ph.D. in Psychology from Virginia Tech in 2021. After graduation, she spent two years working on the acute inpatient psychiatric unit for children and adolescents at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children before moving back to the DC area. She holds an additional position in the Children’s National Medical Center Neuropsychology Department, Center for Autism where she works primarily with youth with intellectual disabilities, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University.
