A Bit About Me

I’m Leeann Soyka (she/her), NCC, LGPC, a mental health counselor at Georgetown Psychology. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, young adults, college students, graduate students, and adults. I am passionate about helping clients explore their values, develop deeper self-understanding, and collaboratively create strategies to achieve lasting change.

I strive to create a safe and supportive space for clients where they feel understood, respected, and empowered to explore their identities and experiences. I believe that establishing a strong therapeutic relationship is a mechanism for change and healing in therapy. My approach is client-centered, meaning that I view clients as experts in their own lives and foster curiosity and collaboration in the therapy sessions. Additionally, I have experience implementing evidence-based interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic Experiencing Therapy.
