Explore Your Identity. Embrace Your Authentic Self.

This evaluation is designed for adults wondering if they are autistic, as well as for children and teens who have recently undergone a comprehensive evaluation but whose parents still have questions about autism.

This is a collaborative and neurodivergent-affirming process aimed at fostering self-discovery and cultivating a positive autistic identity. Recognizing that there is no single test to identify Autism, we employ a comprehensive approach that includes an in-depth developmental and social history, diagnostic interview(s), self-report questionnaires, and tests designed to identify Autistic traits. We encourage input from collateral informants such as parents, partners, therapists, teachers, and physicians when possible.

Autism Testing For Adults

Our evaluations are designed to help adults better understand their unique strengths and challenges, using evidence-based assessments and detailed interviews to understand your lived experience. Autistic women, in particular, are often missed and misdiagnosed, leading to years of stress, overwhelm, and burnout. Whether you’re experiencing differences related to social connection (this includes social motivation, social energy, and craving connection but struggling to maintain it), sensory processing, or executive functioning, our goal is to offer self-understanding and supportive guidance to support your day-to-day functioning and mental health.

Adults can be assessed in person or virtually, depending on state licensing laws. Virtual assessments can be done for personal knowledge, and in-person assessments are conducted for workplace or college accommodations and access to government-based support programs.

Autism Testing For Children & Teens

Our comprehensive autism assessments for children and teens are conducted in a supportive environment with psychologists who love working with neurodivergent kids and specialize in identifying the nonstereotypical presentations of autism. We utilize evidence-based tools, clinical observations, detailed interviews to understand your child’s lived experience, and collaboration with parents, teachers, and others who know your child well. Whether there are concerns about social communication, friendships, behavior (often the result of the mismatch between a child’s neurotype and the environment), or sensory processing differences, our psychologists will discuss actionable next steps and guidance for families to support their child’s self-understanding, mental health, and sense of belonging, as well as to develop a plan at home and school to help them thrive.

A feedback meeting will be scheduled with parents when testing is completed, followed by a written report that can be shared with schools and others involved in a child’s care. With parent permission, we also meet with children to provide feedback that supports self-understanding of their neurotype, helps them engage with the recommendations, and makes sense of their experiences in a strengths-based, affirming way so they can feel more confident navigating the world around them.
