A Bit About Me

I’m Vanessa Robin (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and School Counselor. I believe therapy is a collaborative process that begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. In this kind of space, we can explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly, deepen self-understanding, and work toward meaningful growth.

My goal is to help clients make sense of themselves, their relationships, and the experiences that have informed who they are. I see therapy as a space for judgment-free self-exploration, where we can gain insight into our internal processes and make connections between our inner experiences and how we engage with the world around us. As we build a fuller picture of what is happening and why, we can begin to recognize patterns in how we think, feel, act, and relate to others, and understand how our experiences have shaped us. Through this process, we develop greater clarity about what we want and need, deepen our self-awareness, and strengthen our sense of agency.

With more than a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families in both school-based and private practice settings, I bring a developmental and relational perspective to my work. My work is informed by a person-centered, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and developmentally and culturally responsive framework. I draw primarily from Psychodynamic Theory and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, tailoring my approach to each client’s needs, experiences, and goals. Ultimately, I hope clients come away with a stronger sense of who they are and a greater sense of ownership over their stories, their choices, and the direction they want their lives to take.
