A Bit About Me

My name is Dr. Paul Ross, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist who primarily works with adolescents, college-aged individuals, and adults facing challenges with depression, anxiety, relationships, confidence, and major life events. My therapeutic approach is centered on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with an emphasis on a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship.

By collaborating with my clients, I help them clarify what truly matters and build the skills needed to create a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Together, we’ll move beyond just talking about problems to actively building the skills and confidence you need to tackle life’s problems. In my practice, you will find a supportive space to feel understood and empowered to grow.

My Education, Training & Community Involvement

Prior to graduate school, I earned a BA in Psychology from Hampden-Sydney College, where my experience as a collegiate football and lacrosse player first underscored the importance of mentality in sports. I then earned a MS in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). During my doctorate training, I worked at the United States Air Force Academy, Georgetown University Athletics, and I completed an APA-accredited internship at Malcom Grow Medical Clinics and Surgery Center at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. My career has spanned a wide range of settings—including athletics, forensics, schools, private practice, and the military—all of which have cultivated my passion for helping others.
